Water, Fat and Vitamins

Vitamins are vital in enabling our body to function correctly. There are six, and each one is important in maintaining our health.

Do you know the types of food and drink we consume have a bearing upon absorbing these?

Ensuring that we consume the right types and amounts of fat in our diet is vital in order for our bodies to absorb the vitamins A, D, E and K. If you have ever completed a low fat diet or have previously gone for the 'Low Fat' option in the healthy eating section of the supermarket now think of the vitamin deficiencies you may have created.

We all know that we need vitamins B and C. Well, if we are dehydrated or do do not drink enough water to support the body’s natural functioning then it will not absorb these either.

Now, it does not matter how many vitamin supplements you may take in tablet form. If you do not drink enough water and eat enough of the right fat in your diet you are throwing your money straight in the bin.

Only after getting your nutrition right can you then assess any true vitamin needs and take appropriate action. This must be done on professional level. It’s not something you local health food and supplement shop can do for you!
